About Our Family Farm
We are The Klatt Family!
Sean, Danielle, Mason and Madisyn. We live on our small family farm in Barron, Wisconsin. We raise angus cross steers, hogs, and chickens on our 120 acres for direct marketing to the public. We process 6 steers and 4 hogs per month all year round for your consumption! We batch raise our chickens multiple times per year. We use local, award winning USDA Federally Inspected butchers to process our animals monthly. Your meat is ALWAYS fresh each month!
This is a family operation! Multi-generational in fact! Our son and daughter make up the 3rd generation to farm on this land within our family! Our kids are certainly farmers as evidenced by the photos we take of them frequently helping out with the animals. Both Sean and Danielle’s parents often come help with the farm as well! Even our brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews come lend a hand!
We are absolutely blessed to be farming together!
History of Our Farm
Michael and Jane are the patriarch and matriarch of the Klatt Family! Michael and Jane purchased the family farm in 1988 and milked a herd of dairy cattle until they sold their cows in 2008. Michael grew up on a family dairy farm near Menomonie WI and Jane’s parents owned a grocery store/butcher shop in New Richmond WI. They aren’t strangers to raising animals and children!
Sean has been farming his entire life thanks to his parents. He was raised on the farm helping milk their herd of dairy cattle. When Sean's parents transitioned out of milking, he decided to pursue milking his own herd after graduating high school. Due to various life circumstances, he transitioned into beef as his main livestock. He truly has a passion for raising quality animals and providing the best products to his customers. Sean has a degree in Dairy Herd Management, so he is no stranger to working with cattle.
Danielle was raised on a hobby farm raising horses, chickens, and hogs. She has a passion for helping people with her full time job of being a registered nurse as well as working hard alongside Sean to provide customers with safe, nutritious meat products to share with their families.
